For Your Toolbox: How to Establish a Daily Spiritual Routine
When I find books, videos, articles, and other online resources that I feel are helpful I will share them with you. Think of it as tools to add to your toolbox!
Okay, so people who are close to me know that I love Joel Osteen! Once a year I go to his Night of Hope events, I’m online on Sundays watching his live services (after I come home from church), and I’m ordering books and other resources online. I have found that two books in particular are helpful for people trying to establish a more substantial spiritual morning routine to start their day.
You can read a chapter a day, gain insight and keep notes in a journal. I have read each of these twice. If you do not have a daily routine, this is good for beginners. I always found it difficult to read the Bible (like a regular book), and I found that these books were a good starting point. If I found that a particular chapter resonated with me, I could go to my Bible and follow-up with a more thorough scripture reading.
I encourage you to go directly to Joel Osteen’s site for discounted prices on these and other resources. I sound like a salesman, but trust me, I get no kickback. The only kickback I get is a deposit in my spiritual bank account for sharing resources to help people develop a more spiritual life.If you’re not a Joel Osteen fan, find someone you like, and create your own daily routine.
